Gary,

The is nothing "special" to that size, but I prefer it.  Why?  Well, I 
guess it is because I always shot 35mm film, I shot mostly primes.  I 
had the "feeling" as to what lens I wanted for a certain type of shot.  
On the digital with the smaller sensors I never got to that point.  The 
this past year at Christmas I bought a 5D which has a 35mm size 
sensor....suddenly it all made sense again and it was much more fun to 
me to work with that camera over the 1DII I have.

Does this make any kind of sense on a logical level, maybe not, but on 
an emotional level it works for me and that is what photography is all 
about, right?  Emotion.  I guess the best way for me to explain it is 
that I "see" in 35mm. LOL
