And it indeed is posssible to make beautiful B&W of that landscape.  
It involves some HDR techniques (see George's mails for that) and  
maybe a slight bit of toning.
I still think the initial colour one is absolutely gorgeous, BTW.  
Deserves to be printed IMO.
