Considering your investment in the lens, it's the least you should expect. Jim Shulman Bryn Mawr, PA -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of John Collier Sent: Thursday, March 01, 2007 7:45 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] FS: 50 Summilux M Asph The optical performance is exemplary, quite stunning really. It is the ever so slight tightness in the close range focusing that drives me batty. I notice it every time I use the lens, something which cannot be said of any other M lens I own. I like my equipment to disappear and not get in the way of what I am doing. I was starting to dread having to use the lens, and I like the 50mm point of view. I have used the last version of the non-Asph Summilux with no complaints. I can live with a little softer wide-open rendition.
