Not ruined, but the toning should be warm for all the earthen stuff, not 
just the foreground field, and cool only for the sky. 
   
  I used to print landscape etchings that way, hand wiping inks, back in 
another life. I used to mix the split tones a little bit closer, and the 
handwipe made the blend of tones very gentle.
