A bit noisy, no?
Why didn't he run it through NeatImage?
;-)

Seriously now? Looks like the first TV images: you sense there's  
something you know, and your mind fills in the gaps.
Makes it a bit as if seen by somebody with special eyes.

About the sun not showing: what if he was facing north?
