Just a hint, look on eBay for the adapter. I bought a beautifully made OM to 4/3 adapter for $25 (including postage) from a manufacturer in China. It was 1/4 of the cost of the same adapter sold by Olympus. Since the E500 is also made in China, I suspect that the factory adapter and the aftermarket adapter were made by the same concern. Similar adapters are available for Nikon, Canon, and Leica R lenses. As far as I know none couple with the autofocus mechanism. The lenses must be used in the manual focus, stop down mode. Larry Z
