I learn a lot here when I have time, although now I've left work to
see where being a full time amateur leads me I seem to have a lot less

Actually, I think he is on the LUG as well. Anyway, I was given an
adjustable lens hood (FIKUS) for my Elmars. It covers 50 / 90 / 135 by
adjusting the position of a telescopic hood.
I have not always been happy with the uncoated Elmar I have when light
hits it from an angle. So I tried a window shot:
