This doesn't add much effort for me. If I want to respond to the
group, I just double click on the addressee to select and start
typing "lug@leica-users.org". By the time I get to "lu" the MacOS
Mail program substitutes the whole address and I can click send. Same
as when I originate a message except I don't have to double click. I
understand that all mail programs are not alike and that it is
probably more trouble for others.

I have more trouble using the right email address to send the reply
from. I have a half dozen email accounts and all except one will be
rejected. As a result I tend to check the address fields carefully
before sending.

Having said all that, I'm more concerned about the effect the new
setting has on choaking responses. I'd rather handle the old volume
with liberal application of delete than miss a good discussion.

Just my thoughts.
