Not a good idea. Slows down communication as others said. I'll forget to 
copy/paste the LUG address in almost all replies intended for the group, 
because this new feature is not intuitive after it worked the other way for 
many years.

I have no problem with the high traffic. Can't read any post, so what. 

I even archive all LUG messages, like I archive almost any mail that I got 
since 1994 (except spam and most attachments). The search feature of my mail 
app (Eudora pro paid) is as important as Google search, for me. So much 
knowledge in 6 GB emails (text only, attachments not included).
