Greetings from hurricane swept Europe.
It's been force 12 and gusts above all day, along with partly torrential
rain , no trains are running anywhere in Germany. 210kph winds in the
Harz mountains this evening, autobahns are closed in some places with
cars and trucks being blown off the road, 25% of international flights
cancelled. Luckily the expected storm tide is lower than was expected.
TV news reports similar damage in the UK, France and the Netherlands too
- the death toll is thankfully surprisingly low..
