Subject: [Leica] IMG: Backstage at the Opera

Hi, quite a few people let me know they prefered the backstage
pictures that I took at the Peabody Opera to the onstage pictures, so
I rummaged around and found a group of pictures that were put up at
Peabody in 2001, in a show called "Transformations, Backstage at the
Opera". I really prefer doing the backstage pictures, and gave it up
as a service to the Conservatory, as I could not easily do both
backstage pictures and onstage ones, too.

All of these were M6, Tmax 3200, Xtol 1:1. The Leica is indispensable
for this kind of work, as all of you know. I don't bother people even
when very close. Always I give copies of each picture to the subjects
(after my trip to Spoleto this fall I had a huge postage bill) to say
thank you.

My own favorite of these is the highlight picture of Elizabeth
Racheva (at the time she was Elizabeth Davis) having her makeup applied.
