Here's why I like to carry a camera with me, even to lunch at the
local airport cafe. Checking out the commotion outside, it turned out
that a Cessna 150 had tried to become a seaplane on Humboldt Bay,
just a mile off the end of the runway at Murray Field. Here's the
photo that ended up on the front page of the local paper:

I was carrying my Olympus E-330 that day (with Zuiko 14-54mm
f2.8-3.5), the one that becomes a "Lympa" when I adapt Leica R lenses
to it. Now if only Leica would see the value of a live-view, tiltable
LCD. I did use the optical SLR finder for the above shot out the
airplane window. However I used the live-view E-330 LCD almost
exclusively a couple days ago for some theater indoor low light
shots. I was able to use all kinds of things to brace the camera on,
getting very sharp slow speed shots while looking down on the LCD
like a twin lens reflex. Some "chimping" (what a ridiculous word)
came in very handy, too, to get perfect exposure balance with the
fill-flash indoors and the outdoor scene through the windows.

I'll say it again: the Oly E-3330 is the most creative camera I've
experienced since switching to a Leica M2 forty years ago. I would
never go back to a camera without the features of live-view on a
DSLR. Plus the small E-330 is almost as handy as a Leica M in size
and shape, and way more creative. I will finally believe that Leica
is pursuing its finest creative tradition of the past when it gets
over its attachment to the past and incorporates ALL that digital has
to offer in a camera.
