On the countertops at K&S the 3800 felt to be about 80% to 90% of the size 
of a 4800. They weren't next to each other, so I couldn't make a 
super-accurate comparison.

The on-display 3800 had a big white sign on it saying "please do not open 
this. If you want to look inside, please ask for help." I'm guessing that 
there's a non-obvious latch on the front cover.
