One thing that John Ford taught me when we were working together in Monument 
Valley on some of the westerns that we did was that you should never put a 
wad of chewed bubble gum in your front pocket because it will make the 
fabric stick together and also it will stick to anything else you put in 
your pocket.
 
Another thing I learned from him was that the graduated tobacco filter may 
go out of style in a big way, but you'll always be able to find one in the 
dollar bin of your local camera shop....
