If I may give my opinion this merit goes to the Leica R 21-35mm ASPH. 
I've compared it with my Nikkor 17-35mm f2.8 and Canon 16-35mm f2,8 and 
17-40mm f4 and the Leica is the best. I know that t is not a f2,8 and is 
only 21-35 but his image quality is excellent..
