The fall colors in the Hudson River valley are at their absolute peak
right now. It is a beautiful, sunny, brisk fall day. A good short
route to see the best display would be to cross the Tappan Zee bridge
heading west, drive up RT. 9W into Bear Mountain Park, make a side
trip up Perkins Peak, then cross the Bear Mountain Bridge heading
east, and head back toward NYC on Rt. 9. I've rarely seen it this
lovely. Apparently the lousy summer weather paid dividends.
