I'd agree that the G4 models seem excellent, but they just can't  
compete in performance with the new intel chip models.
The cheapest MacBook with the 13'' wide screen simply blows by my  
daughter's PB with 1.256GB ram like it was standing still.
Add 2GB ram and the "Parallels" program, and I can play iTunes, surf  
the web on Safari, and download CT Scans on Windows, all at the same  
time without incident.
Totals about $1400, plus cost of the Windows software
And it's lighter and thinner than the 12" iBook we also have.
I would expect the new dual-chip Powerbooks to be even faster, but I  
wouldn't see the need for it over the MacBook.
