Subject: [Leica] Trying to understand M8

Well, thank you, I understand now. Only to clarify the third point, I would
mean that for digital use a we don't need so fast lenses as with film,
tolerances on the sense of fine grain are maybe better on digital than on
film.

Saludos cordiales,
Luis

Yes to number one, the lens is still a 28mm lens, it feels like a 28mm
lens but with cropping that looks like a 35mm lens

it is still unclear if the coding does anything, 99.99 of all M lenses
will work, i think the coding is like ROM on R lenses. not much use

#3 it is just a little faster than 100, i am not following what you
are trying to understand
. also if you shoot raw format, it will give you +/- 1~2 stops
leverage depending on the lighting conditions.

one thing to note about digital, it is much like shooting slides, the
exposure needs to be precise or you Will have burned highlights.
(this is one area that that digital needs improvements)
