The more likely result is that people will take a 75/1.4, take some  
close-range shot, blow it up to 1:1 and decide that the lens is "not  
as good" as they thought (because, of course, EVERY large aperture  
lens can stand up to a 40x enlargement, RIGHT?).

I can't wait for every high-end lens to hit the market used because  
people don't know how to evaluate a lens shot on digital.
