No, no, you've got it all wrong!  The chicken being dangled was  
stuffed with Vegemite, as it is every day, which is why the croc was  
so content, intelligent and thoughtful.  The child was being fed it's  
first doses, along with its first inoculations.  Dad has obviously  
not been getting enough Vegemite lately - his reflexes were off.
