As for burning in the white object next to the girl with hat, I actually did clone a bit of the object for the picture I posted, a practice I don't usually engage in, but decided to leave most of it there: I have submitted the actual (silver) print, with the entire object, to a local art show... maybe it will be accepted, maybe not. As I was cloning it I did think of the Reuters fellow who did the clumsy job of enhancing his image and so I stopped when the object began to resemble roiling clouds of smoke (that last is a joke, but I never wanted a career as a retoucher).
