No, Marmite is nothing like the disgusting muck that is Vegemite - although 
not everyone loves it. In fact they advertise it by
portraying people who hate it!

Is this like that great Australian practical joke known as Vegemite
that they keep around and eat while strangers come to visit, never
once grimmacing or wretching where one can see them but otherwise keep
locked away on a top shelf somewhere?

Darned Aussies 'll do anything for a laugh.

If it IS like Vegemite then I understand why it would be great for
dieters and soup: YOU WON'T WANT ANY.
