I'll make you a deal. You put the interesting part of your photographs in 
the middle, and I'll make sure that my robotic thumbnail generator includes 
an interesting part.

I'm going to try, for a while, running the thumbnails as scale-to-fit rather 
than as crop-to-fit. We'll see what happens. I quite like the squares; I 
think they add curiosity and majesty to the overall gallery. But clearly 
some of you don't. So let's try it your way for a while.
