You ought to have discrete, crisp clicks at each f stop (and I think half f stop)and no play at all, just smooth travel. No way it should be sloppy. Definitely worth seeking a professional opinion from a reputable repairer, wherever you are. I am thoroughly in love with Leica glass. This is my first post. I just purchased a used chrome Aspheric 35 cron and notice the aperture ring has some play/slop in it. It works correctly but I am wondering if this is normal. The lens is in beautifull condition otherwise -no dents, nice glass, etc so I am thinking this is normal play within the ring. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks, Mark _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
