If I could change just one thing, I'd stop down a little more to get the entire crowd more in focus. Just to enhance this particular kind of shot. I'll add a small crowd shot, this one from a few years back. This is outside the National Cathedral during Reagan's funeral. Folks are watching the funeral on a tiny portable television that's out of the frame and reacting in all sorts of odd ways. http://tinyurl.com/kkorw I'm pretty certain this was taken with the Nikkor 28/2.8 AIS. I can't recall the specific film, but it was likely Tri X back then. And yes, the scan is too contrasty. Maybe I'll get around to scanning this frame again someday using Vuescan. Scott p.s.
