I got it NIB from an ex Leitz dealer. It was made in 1975, I think. Seems to work well wide open (f4). I've noted that the minimum focus distance is appreciably longer than my Nikkor 135 (manual focus SLR). That's a consideration when using for portrait shots. I have the 1960 Elmar as well. Very informally testing, the newer lens worked better for me shot against the light (contrast wise) so far. The M3 should be a better bet with the higher VF mag, too.
