I think they did it the old fashioned way.
X-Acto Knife and wax glue dispenser.
Cut and paste in the real world.

I think I can see the edges peeling up a little.
This doesn't happen in Photoshop.
Nor do you get Marshall hand coloring oils under your fingernails and on the
collar of your white button down shirt. When you use Photoshop.

Unless you use the "real world verisimilitude" plug in.
