Some film camera prices have dropped, some are still holding.

Digital camera prices (dare I say so soon) WILL drop as the technology
becomes outdated. It's like trying to sell your computer loaded with
Win 98 or outdated processors. Unless recopied and updated every few
years, even our storage devices for digital images might even become
unreadable. With so many distractions in life, how many people will
actually go through the repeated exercises (for the rest of their
lives) of making sure that their files are in order. Unless hard
copies are made in some form of archival medium and stored safely,
there might even be half or even a generation of people who might not
have any images to show at the end of the day.
