I'm in Europe with both an M7 and a Hexar. This is my first real test run with a Hexar that my net cost for was around $300. The Hexar RF is a really fine camera. Handles just like any Leica I have used (includes M3, M6, M6TTL, and M7), the viewfinder is terrific, and the auto-film advance is great. (I am a tactile Leica aficionado like the best of them but I don't missed the film advance lever so much; also I have Tom A.'s Rapidwinder on the M7 which I love the feel of it too, I don't really miss it when using the Hexar RF.) Small, fast, easy to load, easy to focus, uses my Tri-Elmar, 1/5 the price of even a used M7 or MP -- what else could I ask for? Dave. PS. I know, I know. It does have the Leica logo on the front... -- David Keenan, ausdlk@swbell.net on 8/2/2006
