Subject: [Leica] M7 or MP?

I have both. I figure that if I ever need the $$$, I can sell one. Although
I may have to consider that unless our software sales pick up, it really
would be a tough choice. For convenience and shooting under changing
lights, no question about it, the M7 is so much faster. For the fondling
qualities, the MP just slightly edges it out. The wind lever is just
slightly smoother, the VF is just slightly brighter (and flare-less). I am
lousy at "Street Shooting" style so can't offer anything there. I have
never been bothered by the rewind knob. In fact, I sort of like it. May be
it's because I have small hands.

My advice: if this is your only M, get the M7.
