Subject: [Leica] Das Boot - Leica Sighting

Sony/Columbia DVD 09678.  It's actually 6 hours, now that I've reread 
the leaflet.  It was originally shown on German TV as six separate 
hour-long episodes and was first shown in the US on Bravo that way. 
This DVD shows it in two 3-hour hunks.  *That* makes for intense 
viewing.

We see the film in on so many different ways: anti-war; the futility 
of heroism (in these circumstances, in any case); anti-submariner - 
it's a sign of good art, me thinks.   :-)
