No, the Muslim bride is supposed to be very modest and keep her eyes 
downcast, but this was an arranged marriage and the bride had only 
met the husband once.  She was leaving her very close family and 
going off with this stranger and his family.  I can't say I blamed 
her for crying.  The groom seemed very arrogant and conceited - 
yawned loudly during the bride's father's speech.  I've been in touch 
with her since the wedding and she seems to be adjusting but her 
wedding day was definitely not a happy occasion for her.
