You guys OVERthink :-) The simplest conclusion is usually the right one. 
What do most Hermes toting, Ralph Gibson special edition carrying, titanium 
shell'ing Leica users like to use? JPG mode or RAW mode?

Now wouldn't it then make sense for Leica to just do some in camera RAW-JPG 
conversion that shows the camera in decent light? Sure it does. Of course 
power users will get the same or more using Photoshop and whatnot.
