The texture seems to be IN the "paper", not a result of darkroom magic with a screen. I remember getting some Ilford paper when I was a lot younger that had a textured backing. Memory is bad, so "Ilford" may be wrong. If the texture is in the print "paper", then I suspect the paper was made this way. If it is an emulsion issue, I would suspect a texture screen done at time of printing. It is possible that this is not photographic ( translucent) paper but maybe a screen printers' material? ( Of which I know exactly nothing.) Other LUG Members? Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net
