Subject: [Leica] Just back from India, question about burning hole in shutter

That's a shame Philippe... I ran across one of the Leica/photography 
experts some time back who advised not setting the lens on small 
apertures to prevent burning curtains. All one has to do is pull off the 
lens on a sunny day and see what makes smoke on your arm? There are a 
few rules I try to follow when outside shooting.....Always rotate 
aperture ring counterclockwise when through with shooting....Always set 
camera face down or at least never on it's back. If carrying two cameras 
(around neck and on shoulder) carry the shoulder camera with lens facing 
in.
