Yesterday I started to scan some negatives developed with Rodinal, after years I've not used it. I've found my pictures too crispy, too contrasted, to much blach, to much white and few midle greys. Maybe is a reason of agitation plan, I constanly agitate the first minute and after 5 sec. Every 30 sec. , but I think that ID11 has a more compensating effect. On the other hand I have appreciated better results (with Rodinal 1:50) on TRI-X than on T-MAX. Finally I have constated that I have a problem with the water quality at home, I've saw microscopical points of solid incrustations, maybe are chemical... but I think it was solid parts on the water, I should look for a filter. Conclusion: Today I've sand to my usual professional LAB my 3 last films on B&W. Your results are excellent, seeing them through a "developing eye opinion", they show good contrast, transparency, good fine detail, but maybe a little pooor on grey scale...? Later, I'll post some Tri-X and APX 400 developed in Rodinal. Bad idea. Jeffery Smith New Orleans, LA http://www.400tx.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
