It's a very informal get together that a number of us over on the Leica forum have held for the last two years - first year was in London, second on Amsterdam and this year it looks like it's going to be Paris. There's a very simple concept, we get together, have a couple of beers (or whatever takes your fancy), then we all go out and take a roll of film - or 36 exposures of digital - using a nominated Leica body and/or lens and make of film. If you use a zoom you restrict yourself to a particular focal length, if you use digital you use a single ISO setting. A couple of hours later we meet up, have a few more glasses and wander off. The photographer picks his/her favourite image and we have an anonymous vote on all the entries. Of course there's nothing to stop you shooting more than one roll of film provided that your submitted image comes from that first film. It's as much of a chance for people who've only met through the forum to meet as it is a competition.
