It's not a macro but the best 100 mm lens I ever used is the f3.5 
Canon. It is small, light, and very sharp. My traveling camera kit is a 
Leica CL with the 40 mm Summicron and the 100 mm Canon with an M 
adapter. The 90 mm frame line on the CL exactly matches the field of 
the 100 mm lens. It's a shade too big for the 90 mm Leica lens.

These lenses were under appreciated when they were introduced. They are 
not particularly fast nor do Leica cameras have the appropriate frame 
line. But I appreciate mine. They take great pictures.
