Hi Padre,
A suggestion if possible when discussing "dirty neg. processing." with the 
lab.

If you can make blow-up's of the dirtiest showing the specks and crud on the 
negs, then you have a tangible product for them to see. Also take the 
matching negs along because then you have a combination of neg and print 
evidence to reinforce your point, rather than you verbally making a 
complaint.

It does make a major difference in this manner if it's a well managed lab. 
If they do not act accordingly and correct the situation dump them and find 
a better lab. And if necessary you change, be sure to put a quick note to 
them letting them know of your disappointment in the quality of their 
workmanship.

Unfortunately these days too many businesses have this feeling... "that'll 
do" and still produce shoddy work even after a complaint. Good luck.
