Bruce,

Taxi is very affordable here: under US$2 for the first km and US$0.18 for
every 0.2 km thereafter. If I had to take taxi on a regular basis, my taxi
bill would only come to no more than US$1,300 a month, peanuts compared to
maintaining my cars.

But, and a big but, we only have econo-tinbox Toyota Crown LPG as taxis
here, no Porsche, BMW or Ferrari. And I enjoy driving too much to be a taxi
passenger.

Yes, HK is small, but it is still 1,000km sq. and my daily commute to work
is 50km round trip and there are times I make the same trip twice a day.

Mercedes still enjoy good business here, with a market share of close to
10%. BMW have overtaken them lately with their hugely successful
Bangle-designed new models. I should know, I have three Bangle-mobiles in
my garage. :-)
