I must say that the DMR does seem like a good solution to changing
technology: buy now and when its better replace the back, keep the camera
and lenes and you can always carry a roll or two of film as a back up to
fickle technology: my E-500 died on its second outing.

BUT BUT BUT BUT: it is really too expensive to justify even for a rich
middle aged bugger like me. 8k aussie is a lot of film, and a lot of other
cameras alone. I know why its expensive: hard to design hard to make,
small number of potential sales etc. but it therefore cannot really be a
redundancy ploy and so you may as well buy a whole camera.

Oh well, I may go mad and buy one, but I suspect the adaptor will get a
show first.

Cheers
