Once you begin to see the results where you wouldn't have a hope of a decent photograph in the past, you wont want to take it off the camera. ;-) The only warning? "make sure when in use pay extra attention to holding the camera correctly, vertical and horizontally." Unless you deliberately want wild distortion, great fun by the way at times. The camera really needs to be held correctly or on a tripod when shooting interiors. Unless you want the really wild look! ;-) A suggestion for tripod times. Buy a tiny level easy to carry in shoulder bag or pocket to place on top of the camera, the hot shoe works OK as a location. Then square away the tripod & camera watching the level bubbles to align the camera perfectly. No distortion. :-) If you're holding the camera and using the 15mm external viewfinder, line up your shot through the finder, then make sure you lock your eye on the centre point of the scene. Then shift your eye to the internal viewfinder, meanwhile holding the camera steady and look for the identical centre spot. If it's off, probably will be, then look for the same spot you saw in the external viewer. Then to keep the camera straight, line up the vertical inner edge of the viewfinder with a vertical line of something in the picture area. Hold the camera on the centre spot and check the opposite side for a vertical line. This doesn't mean moving the camera all over the place as it must stay lined up on your original centre point, other wise you wont get your picture correctly. I know this sounds complicated, it isn't! Because by the time it takes to read this "how to" you'll find doing it a few times you'll knock off a half dozen pictures later. And they will be straight and right on the mark! If you get one I have no doubt you'll shoot some very interesting photographs the likes you've never done before. The C-V 15mm with viewfinder and adapter for the M is excellent and a damn fine buy economically. ted > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
