If that work is "sappy and sentimental", I'll certainly take it over some of the modern "cutting edge" stuff that has no feeling and communicates nothing. A museum critic once referred to my work as "too accessible", but I want it to be accessible! I want people to see what I saw and feel what I felt when I took the photo. I don't want sophisticated art critics to have to search for hidden meanings. Guess I'll never be in Aperture magazine ;-) (I usually end up throwing that one across the room unless they are featuring a retrospective of some kind!)
