Subject: [Leica] scanner software

The LS5000 takes much longer than I am used to spending (19 minutes to scan
6 frames). I have had a hell of a time trying to change any settings on
it...they are either grayed out when I go to change them, or if I can
actually change them, the option for saving them is grayed out. As a result,
I scan everything at maximum resolution. Nothing wrong with that, but it
takes up a lot of time and hard drive space for the files.

I scan B&W on the LS5000 all the time using Nikon's software and
never have problems, other than not being able to use Digital ICE :-(
