Agreed. I was not clear: I was thinking of a D-Summicron 14 AND a D- 
Summicron 25, not a zoom in that range.

Leica in that range. What's needed, as Dieder noted, are some fast  
primes...a 1.4 or f2 14, a 1.4 17.5, a 1.4 25, and a 1.4 42 or 45.
