It is not what you have to learn, it's the places you have to go where these things happen! Quite frankly an almost impossibility unless you have millions of dollars and or access through a news agency! Take your pick of what subject and location, go there and you too may capture the same or better photo moments. Besides this level of photography has a very high degree of luck by being in the right place at the right time. By the same token many of them create their own luck by knowing the sport, having connections to get in and many more things that make it easier than you might think. If one is in awe of sport pictures and you do not have accreditation for the "photo positions" within those events, even if you know the sport inside out. If you are not allowed in, then you are out of luck. It has nothing to do with learning anything more because being there is far more important. However, knowing the sport, having the right lens, best photo position and the perfect light makes it much easier. Or being in the country when a disaster strikes makes all the difference. Like I said , it's far more important to be where these events happen, otherwise you never have the opportunities to capture the pictures. ted Ted Grant Photography Limited 1817 Feltham Road Victoria BC V8N 2A4 250-477-2156
