probably harissa, a noth african sauce which is only mashed peppers  
and a little of oil. If the year was good its hotter than hell, as  
only some strange peruans vegetables I found to match it (keeping  
some taste, I don't find very interesting eating lava without any  
taste).

who knows, there is a lot of legend and fantasies around that man.
