Yup - digital bw! See page one of today's New York Times - Black and white
photo above the fold - and black and white inside with same article. Don't
need film for killer b&w.

And in re Requiem.

Yes, lot's of Leica Ms - that's because Leica Ms were 1/2 of the standard
kit in that long ago and far away time and place - M2, M3 - w/ 35 and 50,
and for some, a Super Angulon. And two Nikon Fs - one w/ 105 f2.5, the other
with the 200 f4. Lecias on the chest, Nikon's over the shoulders.

As to the collection  of incredible photos. One of the high points of that
book is the work by the oft forgotten, not nearly enough praised Henri Huet.
Despite being not as well and widely known as some of the other names,
Burrows in particular, Huet's work is truly amazing.
