The first 35mm camera that I owned, (other than my father's IIIa), was an
Olympus Pen-F, It was and is a great camera. In size it is very similar to
a III series Leica. The lenses are fantastic, Although it
lacks a 1/1000 sec shutter speed it makes up for that with flash sync at all
speeds.  I now have two, and original Pen-F and a Pen-FT,  although I don't
use them as daily shooters occasionally I like to
take them out to play, I'm rarely disappointed with the results. Here's a
link to a shot of my son taken with a 40mm f1.4 at full aperture, the depth
of field is very shallow but the eyes are tack on and as
sharp as any lens for any other camera I have including Leica;

I'll continue to use and enjoy these great little cameras as long as they
keep working.
