What software are you using to scan the negatives, this should be done
automatically.

When you say it's an older scanner does it have a light source in the hood
that it uses when scanning negatives/slides? If it doesn't then it's
probably not suitable for scanning film.

Dave, HELP!

I also have an older Epson. My problem is with color negs. What tricks do
you use to get the orange out and the color reversed?
